Erol Teknik Bath Accessories Co;
Erol Teknik has become known as a reliable and recognised manufacturer of
hardware, construction materials, bath furniture and accessories, home
appliances and paint for buildings. It is a privately owned family business and
employs 1020 people, 140 of which are white-collar. It currently operates as a
manufacturer, exporter and wholesaler, having extended its activities since its
establishment in 1982.
Erol Teknik has been listening to the needs and demands of the markets carefully
and shaping its investments accordingly. In other words, its growth and
increased product portfolio were directly motivated by market demands and by the
needs of the clients.
In the first decade of the new millennium new lines have been added to its
product portfolio and almost every year since, a new product and the facilities
to make it were added to the business, resulting in a horizontal growth. On
average Erol Teknik registered a growth of 25 per cent every year.
Its products have been in the market under the trademarks of Erol (bath
furniture and accessories), Tulray (pvc curtain rails), Erolvit (sanitary
wares), Flamingo (paint) and Piramida (ladders). Each group of products is
manufactured from a different facility, all of which are based in Istanbul. The
latest addition is a new factory to produce sanitary wares.
All Erol Teknik's products are manufactured with a guarantee of quality
assurance conforming to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
The company's dominant market today is Turkey with 80 per cent of its production
consumed there. It is supplying 11,000 hardware shops and 105 construction
supermarkets such as Carrefour, Kipa, Real, Tekzen and Koctas through its
widespread marketing and distribution network throughout Turkey, where It has 20
regional branches. The headquarter in Istanbul, alongside the marketing
activities, also carries out distribution within the city.
Erol Teknik is exporting its products to nearly 20 countries including Greece,
Romania, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Turkmenistan, Cyprus, Kazakhstan,
Azerbaijan, Russia, Egypt, Bulgaria, Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia. It generally
uses distributorships in other countries.
The production lines are to be classified as:
Hardware products: Aluminium and metal profile ladders, pvc curtain
rails, bath curtain rods, pvc and aluminium corner profiles are to be stated in
this group beside many others. The facility is near to Istanbul situated in
Gebze district and owns a closed area of 15.000sqm. The current annual
production capacity is 8.5 million metre of pvc curtain rails, 160.000 pcs of
ladders, 1.25 million of bath curtain rods
Bath Accessories: Mainly metal and chrome materials are processed to
manufacture mirror sets, towel-soap-bath robe- tissue holders, corner shelves
and many other accessories. The facility is near to Istanbul situated in Gebze
district and owns a closed area of 12.000sqm. The annual production capacity is
250.000 pcs.
Bath Furniture: The sets are made of MDF lam. During all the production
processes quality is prerequisited. Different color and model options are being
supplied. The facility is in Istanbul within the Tuzla industry district and
owns a closed area of 4200 sqm. Production capacity is 30.000 sets.
Sanitary Wares: By the end of 2007 the production of Closets, reservoirs,
washbasins, urinals and toilet stones has started. The facility is in Istanbul
within the Kartal industry district and owns a closed area of 5000sqm. Capacity
is 240.000 pcs.
Shower cabinets: Since 2001, shower cabinets have being manufactured by
use of temper and acryl glass and aluminium profiles. A variety of design and
models are being supplied. The facility is in Istanbul within the Tuzla industry
district and owns a closed area of 1200sqm. 5000 sets are being manufactured
annually.
Paint Group: The production of industrial paint, interior and exterior
paint, Synthetic paint, Polyurethane-based paint, Epoxy paint and road lines
paint are being made. The facility is in Istanbul within the Tuzla industry
district and owns a closed area of 10.800sqm. 7.5 million tons of paint are
being produced per year. With its customer portfolio and marketing know-how Erol
Teknik is ready for a swift growth globally. It is in the search of distributors
